We met briefly to catch up on our projects, before following up at the maternity ward to see Lisa’s new baby girl! Yes, she’s finally here, and she’s a big (9 lb. 11 oz.) beautiful C-section baby! Oh, she is a beautiful baby! Born early this afternoon.
Ethel made her a little [fill in the blank here: Ethel says plum, I say sprout, Lisa's mother-in-law says eggplant] baby hat, and it’s sooooo cute! And, as I kept repeating, it had a matching purple outfit with socks and a bib! But I didn’t get a pic of that or the other cute outfit . I made her a receiving blanket and burp cloth with her name embroidered on, and sigh, didn’t get a pic of that either. Tina also brought gifts, including some delicious homemade pastries with a chocolate drizzle on top. She is working on the brown wool panel, soon to become a felted purse. And, she was happy to report, she found 2 wool sweaters at a yard sale, one already felted. I love it when a project comes together!
Tiffany finished the Hunter’s Stitch block for her afghan, and is started on a new block.
Ethel worked on a knitted bag and I worked on a scarf while trying to get the cashmere sweater going.
I think we all got quite a bit done this past week!
I received an email announcing the annual yard sale at our local yarn shop–it’s April 30th, check out the particulars at Yarnworks website, it sounds like you won’t want to miss out on the bargains!
